At home brow tinting is easy!
It is not safe to use salon tints or henna at home. They are for professional use only. However, there are a few brow tints on the market safe for you to use at home.
One I have recently tried is "1000 hour brow," which is available at Priceline and other retailers. I tried the dark brown which wasn’t my colour but i was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t go too dark with careful application. Although it didn’t last weeks like the salon tint does, it did the trick at least for a few days.
You will get your tint, oxidant, application stick (although I recommend using a small makeup brush instead) and some tint pads which are for eyelash tinting, I must say only the brave would attempt lash tinting at home, but you can use the 1000 hour brow for lash and brow tinting if you like.
Squeeze a little bit of the tint into the container provided, a few drops of the oxidant and mix together well to make a paste, it shouldn't be runny.
If the consistency is to water add more tint and mix.
To apply to your brows start from your ends and work your way in covering all your brow hair.
If you are fair you will need to build up the colour so apply to both brows then remove with applicator (keeping the tint you remove) wipe excess with a damp cotton pad or a baby wipe and check the colour.
If you need more depth apply again and follow the same process until you feel you have the desired colour. For darker colouring you can apply to both brows and leave for longer. Then follow the same removal process, check colour and apply again if needed! There you go brow tinting at home!!!
