Fill in and tweeze your brows in 5 minutes.

We've all been home and in desperate need to tidy our brows!

You really want to grow them in and let them be as natural as possible ready for your brow specialist to give them the shape of your life when you have your next appointment, but you simply can not stand them looking like caterpillars anymore!

The easiest way to do your own brows at home is with a great brow definer such as the Bloom retractable brow definer or the Fox cosmetics brow pencil, or the Fox brow butter if you prefer something softer, and of course a good pair of tweezers.

All these products can be found in my online store.

First, you need to fill in your brows with your chosen colour, following your natural brow shape, keeping them as full as possible.

Start from the inner brow closest to the nose and feather your brow product thru the brow softly. It is better to go over the brow again than to do it too dark to begin with.

Then feather over the middle section of the brow taking into consideration your natural arch and shape. You are better off filling in your arch too much than not enough.

Too many women and brow specialists make the arch too high. As a woman ages we loose our brow hair and very high arches (and thin brows) make the face look older and pale. Think the pencil thin brows of the 90s. Then of course the ends of your brows are important too. We don’t want short brows we want them coloured in following your natural brow line.

If you make a mistake or need to tidy the shape use a damp cotton tip to erase some of the colour and perfect your shape.

Once you have the desired shape and depth of colour, it is time to tweeze around your brow, taking only the stray hairs we don't want growing down onto the eye lid.

Do not tweeze close to your brow, leave those hairs for your brow specialist to work with, you are not doing a professional shape right now only tidying them.

Be very careful not to take them far apart and don’t tweeze the near the ends. If you have wild out of control hairs that stick out you can either pull them with the tweezers, making sure they wont leave a gap in the brow or you can trim them slightly with small facial scissor.

If you follow this procedure you will have presentable eyebrows that will get you thru until you are able to next see your brow professional!
